WAY
Your way to windsurfing paradise is in fact much easier than it may look like. Basically – all you have to do – get your air tickets to Sharm–El–Sheikh. Just contact your local travel agent to check the best offers and get your staff packed.
On the arrival to Sharm you would have to get through the ordinary passport and custom formalities. First, you exchange some of your money at the booth on your left (exchange rate is normally quite fair there) and purchase visa stamps at the same booth (two stamps – red and blue – per person, USD 15) and stick it into your passport. You also would have to get the immigration card from the custom officer, fill it in and handle to the passport control together with your passport.
Provided you are interested to by some alcohol, we strongly recommend visiting the Duty Free shop (reasonable prices!) after getting trough the passport control. The fact is that alcohol turnover in Egypt is seriously limited and you would not be able to by strong spirits in El Tur (in the hotel bar only).
On the airport's exit, having picked up your luggage, you would pass trough the customs control, but they normally do not bother (unless you openly carry a wholesale container of whisky;)
The easiest way to get to El-Tur from Sharm's airport is to pre-order a transfer from the hotel by e-mailing the reception the details of your arrival together with booking the rooms. ( Ãèïåðññûëêà íà èìåéë îòåëÿ ). One-way transfer price is USD 30 for 2 persons, each additional person + USD 5. You may also try to negotiate a trip with local taxi drivers, but in this case be ready for heavy bargaining (national sport!;) as they normally start from USD 100 (the normal price is the same USD 25-30, so we DO RECOMMEND to use the hotel's minibus – it's cleaner and safer).
OK, folks – you got your luggage and beer box loaded into the minivan – now enjoy 1.5 hours trip through the beautiful desert – and WELCOME HOME!
